Sorry about the last two posts. I don't have the internet so I go to the library, so I am on a time schedule with Ivy, and by the time I was able to get my pictures uploaded Ivy said it was time to go so I didn't have time to put words to them. Sorry about that. So I went to get Ivy's shots at about two months and she was looking quite girly she was in pink everything and the nurse was like, "oh your little boy is so cute, so your boy this and your boy that." Well finally I had enough of it so I was like, "SHE'S A SHE!" Oh it makes me so mad. People need to just look at the clothes. Well so to make a long story short I decided to make her some bows out of tights and ribbion so nobody would mistake her for a boy again. What do you think? Ivy isn't quite sure what she thinks about it she prefers her bald head instead. She is cute non the less.
California is pretty nice. The Place we live at has tons of fruit trees. That is one of our favorite things to do. Ivy and I go for a walk in the stroller down the lane and then go pick some fruit and lie underneath the big fruit trees for shade. That way we can keep an eye on Randy and enjoy the shade and fruit at the same time. Ivy is already three months old. She is getting to be such a big girl. I can't believe how much having a child changes your life. They are so wonderful. Ivy has been sleeping through the night for about a month now. She is kind of a night owl and an early riser. She sleeps from about 11 to 5:30. then she takes a big nap from about 8
to 11 in the morning. She is such a good baby.
to 11 in the morning. She is such a good baby. Ivy goes everywhere with her moma. The other day we went to Get Smart at the theatre and she did pretty good I took a bottle just in case and she started fussing so we stood in the isle where she spit up all over me and fussed till she went to sleep We watched the moving standing while Randy sat alone wait
ing to find the binki she spit out when she had had enough of sucking on something that wasn't giving her anything. What I did see of the movie was pretty good. I would recommend going without your baby if at all possible.

The weather is cooling down a ton more. The nights are cooling down which is Heaven sent. It is nice to finally sleep with a sheet. I don't know it is something about having covers that make you sleep better. I don't know what it is about California but I have been to 3 barbecues since I have been here and it is the best food I have ever had . Their barbecues are out of control. They have everything under the sun. Chicken on a cabob cooked to perfection, shrimp, every kind of appatizer dip you could dream of, and anything else you can think of. It is insane. I still can't get over the fancy barbecues. They also have 1 bucket of water for every 5 buckets of beer. There are some serious drinkers out here. I don't even have to worrk about turning it down because I am a nursing mother. Randy isn't as fortunate and has to turn it down quite frequently.
I am glad that I don't have internet in a way because it forces me to come to the library and then when I get here I end up checking out a dozen books that I think look good and it is great. I am doing tons of reading. There are so many good books out there. I recommend reading the Ted Dekker series the first boo
k is called Chosen. It is an easy read, super intense, with a little romance to it. I can't wait to read the rest of them. Growing up in Randolph I never really had the chance to experience a Library, but they are great so whomever is in a city go check out your library they are wonderful.

Randy's boss has been gone for 2 weeks so he is in charge of the ranch and the horses. Which is totally great. I go and help him when Ivy sleeps and we get done a little earlier because of it and then we go play tennis which we are both terrible at but I always beat Randy and it makes him so mad. He still challenges me hoping that someday he can beat me.
My ward is great. I did have to speak in church last sunday which was okay because then I met a ton more people because they knew who I was but the rotten thing was I had to speak and Randy didn't. Randy thinks that was pretty great. They are great though. Out of Utah your ward really becomes pretty tight. They have mom clubs and swim parties. I just joined my wards mom club and I go to a swim party every tuesday afternoon. They also have a book club that I am thinking about joining since I am such a library geek now. Well who knows. I am adjusting pretty well. I still miss home but I always will. Hope everybody is doing great. Keep in touch with me!
